family/ roles/ a woman’s…

A married woman’s role in her family, also based on scripture, is primarily to help her husband in his responsibilities, and to show him respect.

(Gen. 2:18; 3:16; Eph. 5:22-33)

If she is a mother, she has a significant role helping her husband in the training of their children in Christ. (Deut. 6:6-25; Prov. 22:6; Eph. 6:4)  If she is a single mom, then she has the primary role in training her children but should seek to involve others at church in the process (Psalm 78:1-7).

If she is a single woman, she should submit herself to live under the headship of her father if she is still in his household, or under the elders of the church if she is on her own.  (Num. 30; 1 Cor. 11:5-13; 14:34,35; 1 Tim. 2:9-12)

She, as an individual, is also responsible for her walk with Christ and for serving the church as per her giftings. (Rom. 12; 1 Cor. 12; Eph. 4; 1 Tim. 5:16)
