The gospel is foundational to Hope.  In relation to outreach and evangelism, Hope wants to attract people to the faith as much by the outward effects of lives lived according to the Word as by our words.

Matthew 5:14-16 and Philippians 2:14,15 both reference our ‘works’ as having the effect of being a ‘light’ that shines back on the Father.  Acts 2:42ƒƒ reveals that the way we live with and treat the saints has an impact on the unbeliever, drawing them to God.  1 Corinthians 14:23-25 points out that ‘how’ we do church makes a positive or negative impact on the new Christian or unbeliever.  Daniel 12:3 says “Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.” 

The point here is that sharing Christ is a ‘must’ in the ‘how’ we do church, but it is done as much through how we love God and others every day as through our direct ‘sharing’ of the gospel.
