discipleship/ Titus 2…

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing

salvation to all men, instructing us to deny

ungodliness and worldly desires and to live

sensibly, righteously and godly in the present

    age…”  (Titus 2:11,12).

Paul instructed Titus to instruct men and women who are older (at least in the Christian faith, and likely in age as well) to train men and women who are younger – first in character and then in their practices.  This man-on-man/ woman-on-woman training is key at Hope in the discipling of our members toward maturity in the Christian life, and is done in both the home and the workplace.

At Hope, everyone has a place to participate in this discipleship process, whether older or newer in the Lord, whether with another adult or another’s child (Psalm 78:1-7).
